Benalla Hospital has an active Quality Management Program and is fully accredited by the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards. Our Morrie Evans Nursing Home is also accredited by the Commonwealth Standards Agency and won a commendation under the Care Standard at its last survey.

Benalla Hospital consistently rates highly in Victorian Public Hospital Patient Satisfaction Surveys conducted by the Department of Human Services. In 2001, Benalla Hospital was ranked highest in its group for patient satisfaction and highest in each of the six sub-categories of Access, Treatment, Complaints Management and Discharge/follow-up.

A key to high patient satisfaction is having great staff who are well trained for the job they do. Our staff take great pride in their work and gain satisfaction from the achievements of the Hospital. Our Human Resource Management practices have been recognized through awards from the Office of Public Employment in 2000 and 2002.
